The Bayou Kids

Every Sunday, children (kindergarten through 5th grade) experience safe, age-appropriate environments where the Bible is taught in a creative and relevant way. We are so passionate about kids learning about Jesus in a way they can understand that we discourage their presence in our adult services.

Our Mission

Our mission is to help elementary-age children discover who they are in Christ and how God has uniquely called them to serve in His Kingdom.

Sunday Morning Experience

First-Time Guests
Come to the Kids Check-In counter located inside the Kids Ministry entrance doors. We will meet your family and register your child. One of our volunteers will then lead your child to their age-appropriate room.
We will ask for the following personal information during this one-time only registration: parent/guardian name, child’s name and birthdate, address, phone number and any special instructions (allergies, special needs). If you prefer, you may print and fill out our Information Card before you arrive.
Check-In Process
You and your child will receive identification tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the nametag portion which bears a code that is matched to your tag. The adult tag can be worn or held in a safe place.
During checkout, return to your child’s room and show your tag. Volunteers will check for matching codes before releasing children.
If a tag is misplaced or lost, please go directly to the Kids Check-In counter to present identification.
Worship Venues
Kindergartners and first graders enjoy a country General Store complete with front porch and space to play, worship, and learn about God.
Second and third graders can find their groove in the '50s-themed Diner for worship, games, and Bible lessons.
Fourth and fifth graders can tinker in the Garage which has space for games, worship, and small group Bible lessons.

What To Expect Every Week

Age-graded small groups are designed to support a safe environment with consistent leaders who engage children to trust God's character and live out God's story by loving and serving others.
Creative Worship
Our worship experiences are designed to engage a child's heart and channel youthful energy as we celebrate the Lord through dynamic worship songs, movement, and Bible-memory activities.
We want you and your child to feel secure in our ministry area. You can trust that our staff and volunteers serve because they love being with kids and are called by God to this ministry. Every volunteer is screened with a national background check, trained in child protection guidelines, and trained in their area of ministry. Additionally, security personnel monitor the hallways.
Life-Building Lessons
Our 252 Curriculum provokes discovery and invites children to a new understanding of how to grow in relationship with Jesus. It is organized around key Bible stories that help kids discover Jesus and reflect His character to the world. Weekly take-home resources assist parents in continuing the experience at home.
Hands-on activities, high-energy games, new friends and encouraging words from the time they walk through the doors until they leave create an excitement to return each week!
